But it sparked a memory of a dream that I had the other night. I was in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve, 12/31/99, and Ann-Margaret was performing her new "New Year's Eve" song. Why was I in Vegas on the worst day possible (which hasn't happened yet), and why was I watching Ann-Margaret? I'm a musician and I thought "I hate it when stars record crappy songs and they get played because they're stars". But then I started liking the song, which was supposed to revive her "career", and when I realized that I was dreaming the song up, I paid closer attention so that I could write it out when I woke up. So I woke up and grabbed my guitar only to find it tuned to Eflat Minor, and I couldn't get anything to sound like what I heard, then I realized that I was still dreaming. When I really woke up I couldn't remember a single lyric or the melody. Now I am determined to write Ann-Margaret's New Year's Eve song.
