Sharpening Your Edge Cingular offers you educational benefits to help you realize your dreams. It’s part of our promise to you, so it’s part of the package. You get:

Tuition Aid Program
Pays up to $10,000 annually for your eligible education expenses. (Yep. You read that right: $10,000!)

  • The first $5,250 you receive is not taxed but the remaining amount up to $10,000 is taxed as ordinary income.
  • Your educational expenses are paid up front before you complete your course. Pretty cool, huh? This helps you budget for your eligible expenses while continuing to work.
  • If you’re part-time, your tuition aid will be prorated based on hours worked compared to a full-time schedule.

Cingular Collegiate Scholarships
We’re also awarding a number of scholarships annually to qualifying children of Cingular parents. Awards will be based on specific academic and testing criteria. This program helps Cingular recognize excellence where it really counts… your child’s education.

Transitioning to the Edge
If you’ve started a class before your transition date, you’re covered under your parent company’s tuition aid program, even if the class continues through your transition date.

If you applied under a parent company’s scholarship program and your dependent is selected for a scholarship in 2002, this scholarship will be transferred into the Cingular Collegiate Scholarship Program.

If your child has already been awarded a renewable scholarship from your parent company, the scholarship is still eligible for renewal through your parent company.
